Adobe Premiere Elements 8 is released

It's the time of year when we can expect Adobe to announce the latest update to its highly-successful Premiere Elements video editing and software and, true to form, today sees the unveiling of Premiere Elements 8.

Together with Adobe Photoshop 8, which is available either separately or as part of a bundle, Premiere Elements 8 is aimed at users who are keen to import their video clips from a variety of sources - camcorder, digital camera, mobile phone, disc, web, etc and from them construct finished movie sequences that can be shared on DVD, played back on computer or uploaded to a media-sharing portal like YouTube.

Improved features
With this latest release, Adobe has provided a completely enhanced Organiser, which serves as a feature-rich media hub for both photos and videos. From the Organiser, consumers can now launch directly into Photoshop Elements 8 to modify photos or into Premiere Elements 8 as a means of creating and sharing movie projects that take advantage of several new, automated features.

Common Organiser Unites Two Powerful Photo-and Video-Editing Solutions
With this new release, Adobe has introduced an enhanced Organiser where users can now conveniently manage all their digital memories in one location, simplifying time-consuming tasks such as tagging and searching. The new Auto-Analyser automatically analyses and tags the most interesting and highest-quality photos and video footage, and People Recognition intelligently identifies people in photos. With new full-screen previews, users can display their photos and video clips in slideshow mode directly in the Organiser and make quick edits to photos or tag video footage while viewing them. In addition, users can now sync all their media on multiple computers automatically.

Motion Tracking is a new feature in Premiere Elements 8

Automation Fixes Video Clips and Provides Greater Creative Control
Adobe Premiere Elements 8 offers new automatic options that are claimed to make it effortless to transform video clips into professional-looking movies. Users can let the software do the hard work with Smart options, which instantly fix shaky footage and colour and lighting problems, identify and trim away all unwanted footage, and intelligently balance audio elements. Taking advantage of new motion-tracking capabilities, Premiere Elements 8 further allows users to easily add graphics, text and effects that follow subjects in scenes.
